The SCOTCH-1633/400 preparation is a multifunctional rust-removing aerosol in the form of oil with the addition of molybdenum disulphide. This agent removes rust, and protects the material against moisture and re-oxidation. The base component of the preparation is mineral oil, which allows it to be successfully used as a lubricant.
